Amini replaces injured Antonis

Central Coastline Mariners midfielder Mustafa Amini will substitute Sydney FC's Terry Antonis in the Olyroos squad for the approaching London 2012 Olympic qualifiers against Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates.


At first put on standby, Amini enters the squad following teen midfielder Antonis failed to persuade the Australian coaching personnel on Friday he was totally suit to participate in the vital third-round qualification matches to be held in February.


 I am dissatisfied that I will not be able to represent Australia in these online games,  Antonis said.


 I really like playing for my country and was genuinely seeking forward to playing in these two critical matches.

Amini joins fellow Mariners younger guns Oliver Bozanic and Mathew Ryan, who were named on Wednesday in coach Aurelio Vidmar's twenty-male squad.
